About Us

Conservative Books
Freedom Press Canada Inc. is: Books written by Canadians, for Canadians.

Business History
Freedom Press Canada Inc. (hereafter “FP”) has been in operation since 2003. Established initially as a self-publishing venture, Freedom Press quickly recognized the need to serve a specific segment of the Canadian book buying public.

Mission and Vision
FP is dedicated to producing, promoting and distributing excellent books by Canadian authors who write from a conservative and libertarian perspective. As a niche publisher, FP features Canadian authors whose message and ideology reflect FP’s core principles: Free Speech and Freedom of Religion; Limited Government; Liberty through Law, Personal Responsibility, the Free Market, and Free Market Charity Initiatives; Individualism and Exceptionalism; and Positive Canadian Patriotism.

Description of Products and Services
A niche publisher since 2003, FP currently has 10 books in its catalogue. Although our authors range in their ideological commitments, all fall within the general framework of FP values. Our market strategy is to work with a client author (someone who is a recognized leader/writer/thinker within the conservative and libertarian camp) to showcase their work to the best advantage.

Key Features of the Products and Services
As a niche publisher that exclusively promotes conservative, libertarian authors who are Canadian and write for Canadians, FP has a unique mission and a particular advantage in developing a relatively untapped market. Conservatives and libertarians make up 35% of the voting public and are avid readers and buyers of books.

In evaluating the potential marketability of a client author, FP focuses on media exposure and an existing network of supporters and followers via web writings, print columns or monthly newsletters. The client author’s public relations exposure is vital to the success of all publishing projects, because marketing and promotion will be directed at existing networks of supporters.

Future Products and Services
FP will continue to expand and diversify its roster of authors. In the next 5 years FP plans to publish 20 new authors and increase its catalogue to 50 – 70 excellent books. FP also plans to host yearly book launches that will highlight our writing talent. And FP will organize several conferences for its client authors and their networks of supporters.

Comparative Advantages in Production
FP’s competitive advantage is simple: It is the only publisher focusing on a particular political market and seeking ways to serve that market’s needs.
